Make real slushies at home in under a minute! Just add syrup, water and ice. This kit includes the Slushie Express Machine, one 16-ounce slushie cup, lid & spoon-straw.

I was a bit skeptical considering others claimed the cups are useless within a month or so but that's not something I've come across in my case. While it is the perfect product for a single serving smoothie, you do have to make sure to master the right ratio of ice to liquids in order to have a delicious smoothie. I tend to add more liquid and less ice. I use it on a daily basis and love it!


I love this! It works well, crushes ice just fine and small enough where I don't mind keeping it on the counter so I have a smoothie whenever I want rather than being too lazy to take out the blender!


Have been using the slushie express for about a month. I use it to make milk shakes and smoothies. I have had more smoothies in last one month than in the whole year. The only problem is it doesn't have a on/off switch. May be thats the reason many reviewers have complained of the side knobs breaking off after few uses. Otherwise, its a nice compact machine.


My husband loves Slushies, but they're full of sugar. I bought this for him so he can make sugar-free slushies. He really likes it.


I love this machine - we are on our second one. The first one still works but I just wanted a back up one. We use this 2-3 times per day. If you are taking a powdered protien supplement this machine is perfect. I use it to make 2 kinds of smoothies - a fruity one and a coffee one.

Here is my recipe for fruity: 6-8oz. Non-sugar added Juice, 2 large spoonfulls of organic yogurt, 1 scoop vanilla protien powder, fill to top with frozen fruit, screw on lid and blend.

Recipe for coffee smoothie: 8-10 oz. cold coffee, 1/2 scoop vanilla 1/2 scoop chocolate protien powder, hazelnut creamer, fill to top with ice cubes, screw on lid and blend.

The best part about this machine is the clean up!!! We just rinse the lid with hot soapy water and stick the cups in the dishwasher.

I also bought 3 extra cups which works out great because 2 are always being used or dirty and 2 are always clean.

One more thing, I have also used this to chop onions and make salad dressing as well.


This is the second one I've owned. It's perfect. My kids love Slushie's and now I don't have to leave the house to go get one, I can make them at home.


My kids love slushies made by this machine but it only comes with one cup. I have to buy another one (they have to have the regulation "slushie cup"...ha


This little device works very well as long as you have the right ratio of ice to liquids and with a bit of practice it's Great!

Except one problem:
After a month or so of use two or three times a week, the little nubs on the side of the cup that press the switch to start the motor break off! The cup is then not usable because the blender won't start. There are two nubs on the cup so I turned it around. That worked for another week then it broke. I bought another cup and tried to be careful about how I used it but it broke too. By then the cups weren't available in my local store and the blender went into storage 'till next year when I hope this seasonal item will be available again.


Well worth the money!
Have not tried it for other uses other than Slushies.
Kids LOVE it.

Pros:
Crushes ice with ease, as long as not overfilled.
Pricing is reasonable.
Compact design.
User friendly.

Cons:
Loud when in use for crushing ice, but hey, its crushing ice not bananas... so its going to be loud.

Makes an awesome and refreshing Lemonade Slushie.
3 tbsp lemon juice
3 tbsp sugar
Fill with water to liquid line.
Add ice but DO NOT over fill or it won't crush the ice.

Just tried to make slushies for the kids and motor quit. Very, very short lived. Only made 6 slushies since owned product. Will try to contact Amazon to see about a refund or replacement. Would much prefer a replacement since the kids love the slushies so much.

Amazon was very accomodating in accepting the defunct slushie maker. Very easy to process return and new slushie maker replaced promptly. Very satisfied with new slushie maker. Have made numerous slushies since receiving the new slushie maker and had absolutely no complaints. Would strongly recommend to anyone looking for an awesome slushie maker. Amazon is wonderful as usual.


I bought this slushie maker as an impulse buy as I was looking for snack alternatives during a time when I was trying to lose weight, and I don't fully regret it at all. It makes wonderful slushies in no time, is easy to clean, but it is helpful to use smaller ice-cubes. Larger ones tend to not circulate as well in the cup and you'll end up shaking the cup to break the log-jam free.

As an extra bonus to this review, I'll pass along a suggestion for low-calorie slushies: instead of the high-calorie sugary syrups, use a small shot of sugar-free maple syrup (for sweetness and to create the smooth texture of a slushie) and add half of a 5 calorie Crystal Light On The Go packet. I prefer the strawberry or cherry. When you add the syrup and the Crystal Light, you only have maybe 25 or 30 calories, which is really nothing for a delicious and quick slushie.

Ok, I digress. I have but one caveat: There are two small plastic tabs on the sides of the cup which lock it into the motorized base and turn on the power. After a week or two of use, I broke one of the tabs off as I was inserting them into the base... fortunately only one tab is required to activate the motor so I can still make slushies, but if this second tab breaks, I will have to buy another slushie maker. I've never been the most gentle boy with my toys, so just be gentle with yours and all should be well. Enjoy!
